Applications are now being accepted for Western Water’s 2025–2026 Lois B. Krieger Water Project Grants for Educators and Water Is Life Art Contest for K–12 students. Both programs encourage the community to explore the value of water through education and creativity.
Lois B. Krieger Water Project Grants for Educators
The Krieger Grant program provides up to $1,000 for educators to bring water learning to life through classroom projects, hands-on lessons, and field trips. Eligible applicants must teach in a K–12 public, private, or home school located in Western Water’s general service area. The program honors Lois B. Krieger, a leader in water education, and gives teachers resources to spark lasting awareness in their students.

Water is Life Art Contest
The Water Is Life Art Contest invites K–12 students to bring the theme “Being water wise is…” to life through original artwork. Winning pieces will earn prizes and be featured in Western Water’s Donald D. Galleano Water Is Life Art Gallery. Winning entries may also move on to regional recognition.
