RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Craig D. Miller, a veteran engineering professional with more than 25 years of experience, was recently named Western’s deputy general manager. In his new position, he’ll continue to spearhead greater efficiencies at the District.
“Craig’s in-depth water and public sector knowledge made him the ideal candidate to continue Western’s mission to deliver safe, reliable water to our customers while maintaining a keen eye on responsibly managing our ratepayers’ resources,” said Western General Manager John Rossi.
In the position of deputy general manager, Miller will be responsible for assisting with managing the day-to-day activities of the District, including oversight of Operations, Engineering, Community & Government Affairs and Water Resources.
“I’m looking forward serving our western Riverside County water customers and continuing Western’s path toward excellence,” said Miller.
Miller’s previous experience includes 25-plus years in water resource engineering and management. Most recently, he served as the assistant general manager at Inland Empire Utilities Agency where he oversaw several departments and agency functions. Prior to that, he was the executive director of engineering and planning at Orange County Water District.
He is a registered civil engineer in the state of California and holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from California State University, Long Beach. Miller resides in the city of Orange with his wife, Cinthia, and two college-aged sons.
