Western’s signature, free community event includes 72,000 ladybugs that will be released
RIVERSIDE, Calif. Back for its seventh year, Western Municipal Water District’s award-winning, signature Earth Night in the Garden event returns with more than 72,000 ladybugs ready to be released. This free community event showcases the importance of water, how to use it efficiently and how to care for the environment. This year’s event will feature a photographic art exhibit with impactful images of California’s current drought crisis.
Earth Night in the Garden hosts more than 2,000 community members annually and features free give-a-ways, entertainment, interactive activities, rock painting, face painting for kids, ladybug releases and more!

See hundreds of children enjoy ladybug releases and fun activities. Nearly 72,000 ladybugs will be released next to the garden by children attending the event.
Drought art exhibit featuring photographs of the impacts of California’s current water crisis.
