Western selects Michael Mouser to lead the District’s forward-thinking technological solutions
Riverside, CA – Western Municipal Water District has named Michael Mouser, a seasoned professional with impressive senior management level IT services experience, as their new information technology manager.
“Michael is a proven performer. I am very excited to welcome him to Western’s IT team. He brings excellent experience working in much larger IT organizations such as San Bernardino County, which will bring new perspective to addressing the District’s technology needs,” said Greg Duecker, Western’s director of administration. “Technology is constantly changing, and a unique challenge is to prioritize technology solutions based on highest functional value and cost effectiveness; Michael’s experience will be an important factor in Western’s decisions and plans for the use of technology into the future.”
As IT manager, Michael will be responsible for supervising the development and design of IT systems performance, training and evaluation, project management, technical assistance, coordinating system upgrades, cost analysis, and implementing systems to maximize security and functionality.

Prior to Western, Mouser was the IT division manager for the County of San Bernardino. His career also included Systems Support Lead Analyst with the County of San Bernardino.
Mouser holds a Bachelor’s degree from University of Redlands in Information Systems, and has experience in Microsoft Risk and Health assessments, system recovery models, budget and spending plans and software development. He resides in Riverside with his wife and three children.
