North Well Rehabilitation Project

Project Status

This project is expected to begin in early February 2026 and continue through May 2026.

Project Summary

The North Well Project will rehabilitate the well to remove residual buildup that has gradually reduced water flow and production. This work will restore full groundwater capacity, improve operational efficiency, strengthen long-term reliability, and support a resilient local water supply for Murrieta residents.

Construction is anticipated from early February through May 2026, primarily during standard daytime hours. The project will require the temporary removal of the sound barrier wall and approximately 48 hours of continuous well operation in late March. During this time, nearby residents may experience elevated noise levels and increased equipment activity.

Our commitment

We know there has been work at this site in the past, and we recognize that construction activity can be frustrating. We are committed to:

  • Providing advance notice of major milestones
  • Setting clear expectations about noise and duration
  • Responding promptly to questions or concerns
  • Completing the work efficiently and restoring the site

This short-term inconvenience supports long-term reliability for the community.
