March Air Reserve Base Sewer Force Main Replacement Project

Western Water is replacing approximately 20,000 linear feet of aging sewer pipeline near March Air Reserve Base (MARB). Supported by a $13 million grant from the Department of Defense’s Office of Local Defense Community Cooperation, this investment will enhance base resiliency, protect public health, and strengthen essential infrastructure for the surrounding community.

Project benefits

  • Enhances public and environmental health through safe, efficient wastewater transport.
  • Minimizes the risk of emergency repairs through proactive system upgrades.
  • Increase pipeline capacity to support future community growth and development.
  • Reinforces MARB's operational resilience and ability to serve regional communities.

What to expect

  • Construction will begin in late 2025 and continue through fall 2026.
  • Work along public roads may cause temporary lane closures.
  • Crews will be visible near the project area while work is underway.
  • No water service impacts are anticipated.
