Start / Stop Service
To start or stop water and/or sewer service to a property with an existing connection to Western Water, you will work with our Customer Service team.
Step 1: Confirm your property is within Western Water's service area
Please review our Water Provider Map to confirm your property is within our service area.
Step 2: Request new service
Once you have confirmed your property is within our service area, complete our online Start/Stop Service Request form.
You can also contact Western Water's Customer Service team for assistance. Call 951.571.7104 or email us. Please allow a minimum of two (2) business days for your request to be processed.
Note: When completing the online form, please do not include sensitive information such as your Social Security Number, bank account, credit card number, or information that would enable someone to access an online account, such as your username and password.
Step 3: Pay the processing fee and deposit
A soft credit inquiry is part of Western Water's service application. This inquiry will not impact your credit score and is used to verify your identity and determine if a deposit is required.
Western Water applies a one-time $10 processing fee to establish service. The fee appears on your first billing statement and is due and payable upon presentation.
If you are required to pay a deposit, Western Water must receive payment before your service start date. Western Water will refund deposit monies after 12 months of billing, provided there are no delinquent charges or payments returned by your bank.
A request for water service indicates your intention to comply with Western Water's water service rules and regulations.
To close an account, complete Western Water's online Start/Stop Service Request form.
